Hi! I’m Parisa. I’m a digital designer and strategist who’s passionate about the WordPress environment. I recently spoke at WordCamp Sacramento and run Parisa Consulting, PressFunnels and more. If that’s not inspiring, I’ve designed for Stefan Sagmeister of the renowned Sagmeister + Walsh agency. In my spare time (wait, what even is that? running a business is grind!), I used to enjoy museums, live music, wine tasting, crafting, building with LEGOs and visiting the cat cafe.
I created PressBio as a WordPress-driven alternative to popular SaaS solutions such as LinkTree, Shorby and ContactinBio. I felt limited by these solutions and got inspired to create something that enabled greater creative freedom without a monthly subscription.
PressBio requires that you have a self-hosted WordPress website (WordPress.com won’t work). You will also need to install the Elementor Page Builder plugin (free) so you can use and edit the template. If you purchase the template kit, Elementor free should be sufficient unless you plan on using the templates that have contact forms (currently, the Influencer templates) or menu (Bar template). Those will require Elementor Pro, but you can also replace them with free solutions (such as Contact Form 7 for forms). You will also need an existing or new domain that you will host your bio template(s) on. To save money, it’s advised you use your existing website hosting plan. You will want to make sure Elementor will run well in your hosting environment and with the plugins + themes you’re already using if you are planning to install this on an existing WordPress site.
